Ever wonder what would happen when a legitimately semi-crazy badass actor were to come back from the dead, have everything go his way...and be given the microphone on live television?

Yeah, and add some champagne to mix.

Well, wonder no further.

The acceptance speech below is by Mickey Rourke after he won the best actor at the Independent Spirit Awards for playing the lead in The Wrestler. Mickey Rourke easily says more funny, off-the-wall and, in his own way, honest shit than every acceptance speech I've ever seen, combined.

You must see it to believe it.

Here's hoping the Academy Award goes to Mickey Rourke. Anything even 1/10 as good as this speech would make for the best Oscars speech ever. And the best show ever, actually.

Not to damn Mickey with faint fucking praise.
