Response: bouncer
October 23, 2007 at 11:32AM Mike Doe's insomnia finally paid off last night. After twittering out at about 1am, I turned to Oprah, whose guest was Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given only a few months to live. Pausch stood before Oprah's girls and gave the inspirational "final lecture" he'd previously delivered to his students about his childhood dreams and how to live a better life.
And, shockingly enough, I, too, was inspired. Thank you Randy, Oprah...and Stedman!

P.S. I don't care what they say about Stedman...you stick with him, Ms. Winfrey; he's a good man!

I saw this too. Makes those other phony inspirational, self-promoting types look less accomplished.
I need to keep rewatching this dude. Kind of like the movie Road House and the bouncer/philosopher Dalton. Both men are inspirational figures worthy of emulation because they let you know that your dreams truly can come true.
ohhh..u said the S word. STEDMAN. =)
Jennifer,
Oh yes I did!
Uh, but I thought that would win me points with O & S. Are they no longer an item?
Oh boy, checking my passport status and international flights out of Washington DC. Crossing Oprah = really bad career move!
